Privacy Policy for Vertex Desk

Gary Judge ("we", "our", or "us") respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how Vertex Desk ("the App") handles your data. Vertex Desk was built from the ground up to ensure your personal information remains entirely in your control.

1. Data Collection and Usage

We do not collect, store, or transmit any of your personal data.

Vertex Desk is a native macOS application that interacts directly with Apple's built-in Reminders database (via the EventKit framework).

  • All your sticky notes, tasks, and project data are saved directly to your local device.
  • If you have iCloud enabled on your Mac, your data is securely synced across your devices via Apple's iCloud service.

We do not own servers, we do not have access to your iCloud account, and we have no ability to view or access your notes.

2. Analytics and Tracking

Vertex Desk does not include any third-party analytics, tracking software, or advertising frameworks. We do not track how you use the app, nor do we share any usage data with third parties.

3. App Permissions

To function as intended, Vertex Desk requires the following system permission:

  • Reminders (EventKit): Vertex Desk requires access to your Reminders to read and write your sticky notes. This permission is strictly used to allow the app to function as a front-end interface for your Reminders.

4. Children's Privacy

Because we do not collect any personal data, Vertex Desk does not knowingly collect or solicit any information from anyone, including children under the age of 13.

5. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by updating the "Effective Date" at the top of this document.
